I like passphrases. Although I do use a password manager, there are times when one needs to enter the thing manually, and passphrases are easier to type than strong passwords. So I had the idea to write a command-line utility to generate strong passphrases. The result was fraze.exe. Every time you run it, it generates a list of 15 strong passphrases. It's a 64-bit program, with versions for Windows, Linux, and MacOS. Downloads here: Windows: https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/frase-win64.zip Linux: https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/frase-linux64.zip MacOS: https://ammaze.net/xywwweb/dls/frase-mac64.zip These executables are BIG: 7 MB for Windows and Mac, 10 MB for Linux. But in this case, size means power. I've tested the versions for Windows and Linux. I don't have a Mac, so I'd be interested to know if the version for MacOS works as well. -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
