Glad you're enjoying it, Bob. I'm traveling now, but when I get back I plan to put a few finishing
touches on QuickNotes and then leave it as is. It's evolved into a nifty little editor, but its
built-in limitations mean that it will always lack the one feature essential to any
"XyWrite-like" editor: a fully customizable keyboard, including the ability to designate
non-standard modifier keys in addition to the usual Shift, Alt, and Ctrl. So I plan to start over
with Claude on a new cross-platform editor that will have keyboard configurability at its heart,
along with other features, like scripting and interoperability with the OS, that XyWriters would
expect. This will take some time: a main takeaway from my QN experience is that Claude works best
when you build your software methodically and *incrementally*, testing intensively as you go.
Hopefully the result will be worth the wait.
