Carl, Yes, I learned the value of editing the cfg file itself, and was just about to mail that inl In XyWrite, I put a GT onto the key that does cursor down (or linear down), so that if I'm in the cmline, I get back to the text easily. But the following doesn't do that in XyS: ctrl V :47=GT;LD Also, scancode shows 102 for v when the ctrl key is held down. Needless to say . . . (I was going to say "I tried 102, too" but "Needless to say" foreclosed that idea.) Having lots of fun with XyScript. --Harry P.S. I'm writing this with Hmail, my (via Claude) updating of Eudora. The menus are fine for making one or two changes, but for more-extensive customization -- and to better understand what's happening under the hood -- you'll want to be editing the settings manually. > > Here's what to do. First, command `SaveCfg my.cfg` to write a fresh file that captures all of the available settings and their current values. Next, put the following command on the CMline and leave it there while you edit: > > SA; RUN $FP > > To see a new setting take immediate effect, simply press F9 or Enter. > > > Is there a way to move the status line back to where it was in > > XyWrite (under the CMline)? > > Not currently, but it's a good, Xy-like idea.
