XPL to xpl

Carl,

I'm having Claude attempt a translator for XyWrite's XPL to XyScript's xpl (I've adopted the convention of using lower case for the XyScript version).

I fed him a sample U2 frame of mine, and he's going to "induce" the translator from it plus reference.pdf plus Robert's ctrlchar.txt plus some tidbits from me. Claude asks if this is correct:

  • «SV01,text» SET v01 = "text"; «SX01,expr» SET v01 = expr; «IS01»/«PV01» inside expressions $v01
  • [BX]cmd[Q2] and [BC]cmd[XC] just cmd; [BC]text[GT] (a message left on the CMline) PR text
  • «IF⬦»/«EI», «LBa»/«GLa», «EX», «EX1», «PR⬦» IF/EI, :a/GOTO a, EX, EX1, PR
  • «ER» $ERROR, «VA$FI» $FI, «RK» READKEY, «CU» FOR
  • Block and cursor functions keep their names where XyScript has them (DF, XD, TF, GT, LE, SV⬦)
  • Search wildcards SE/R regex, with W/WW/WWW collapsed to one .*
  • Anything with no counterpart (window, #9, SW, VA$WN, U2 calls) comes out as a # TODO XPL: line with the original beside it, so nothing silently vanishes

Is it?
