Solving Win7/XP/3.1 issues ONE/PS

I have tried this image

in VirtualBox, and it does produce a working Win 3.1 screen, but it
isn't preconfigured for networking, I can't figure out how to install
networking as the drivers seem to be missing, and invoking the MS-DOS
command line results in an error message. So clearly this plain
vanilla solution needs some work!
