And I'm following far, far less of it than you . . .
but this is pretty normal.

If you're referring to being able to move webpage text
directly into Xy, by means of CLIP (and it seems you
are), I'm sure there are issues there to be overcome.
However, I can't think of examples I've run into where
what's on the page *defies* using
 EDIT --> COPY
in FireFox, or the Copy Plain Text extension, for
lifting portions out into the Clipboard. It may need
reformatting, restoring the original Font or Bold, or
somesuch, but, once it is in your clipboard, it is
yours to use. (Well, not legally speaking, but you
know what I mean.) At that point, they can't block
you from taking it into Xy (one way or another), or
any other place you fancy.

No, wait a minute -- I think I may have seen a page --
very rarely -- where they've done _something_ to block
your ability to highlight any text. But, even then,
I'm confident there are workarounds. For example: it
is not a really desirable option, but I have on
occasion taken a screenshot (with software, not a
camera), saving a page or page portion as a graphic
file, when there did not seem to be any other way to
grab it. The info I needed to reference was still
readable. I'm just saying they can't completely shut
the door in your face.
