As I recall, this thread began with a query about the deployment of
wireless networks across communities (WiMax). It turns out that my
home town of Brooten, Minnesota, has just such a thing -- see, for
example, http://brooten.govoffice.com/
and click on the wireless internet link. Apparently Wisper Wireless
offers WiMax in a number of communities in west-central Minnesota.
