Re: attachment acrimony

PITA is pain-in-the-ass ... and you're probably right ... unless you're a
veteran, don't turn up ... and of course you can't become a veteran and
learn the rules unless you get started somewhere. Catch 22.

I guess I better get the rule book out...I don't even know what a "total
PITA" is...does it have anything to do with Jack-in-the-Box's attempt at
fusion cuisine -- the Fajita Pita?

Maybe I don't understand the purpose of the list. I think of it as an
ongoing "rolling admissions" virtual support group for people who use
xywrite. As with all enduring support groups, there are regular attending,
seasoned members who have the historical view and others who drop-in and
out according to their needs. I'm in the latter category and I'm very
grateful to the former category for the time they take and for their
general altruism. But my technological needs are basic, my grasp of
technology even more basic and, until now, my awareness of the rules,
nonexistent. (Other than making sure that when I post a question I include
fundamental information -- my version of xywrite, what operating system and
computer I use etc.) I must also confess (dare I?) that I don't read each
and every e-mail, on-topic or off.

Mr. Holmgren's exasperation leads me to wonder if people like me are
welcome on this list. Should I refrain from bringing my xywrite problems to
this group unless I've read and memorized the rules and unless I'm willing
to save, study and understand all previous e-mails?
