Word-for-Word as a standalone is up to versiion 6 point something. Mastersoft
is very much alive and kicking.

Version 6 supports Word Perfect up thru. version 6.0, and it also allows you to
convert to mac formats and things like Frame Maker as well. Majorly useful
when you are working in an environment, as I do, where you get disks from
authors in all sorts of formats. One of our authors still uses something
called Writing Assistant, and submits 5.25" 360K floppies all dated 1-1-80. I
can get them into XyWrite (any post 3.0 flavor) in a jiff. In addition, the
menu is vastly improved from the one that used to be bundled with XyWrite
which, as I recall, used the escape key to execute.
