 I agree with Carl's sentiments in a just earlier note in this
thread  and nothing I said in mine, Annie's huffiness to the
contrary,  contradicts that. I'll simply note that the code
was not posted in the  context of "here's a quick and dirty way
to accomplish it" (at least I  didn't take it that way--if it
was, then mea culpa) but in the context  of a discussion about
the capabilities of XPL versus extra-Xy  languages.
