There is another solution to the font size problem, one that I have been
using for about eight or ten years to change the size of the font in XYDos.
(This only works in full screen mode from a DOS window, or from DOS itself.
You need a little DOS program called FONTHT.COM, which I have appended to
this message. The program takes a number as an arguement. I currently use

FONTHT 13

This gives me around 30 lines on a 15 inch LCD screen. The larger the
number, the larger the font, and vice versa. You need to experiment a bit.
The fonts are not great, but they are certainly adequate.

The best way, I have found, to get the little darling to work is to put a
line in STARTUP.INT such as:

BC DO FONTHT 13

This sets up the right font size from within XY. You can also run the same
command from the command line.

One word of caution. When you change the font size you change the number of
lines on the screen so you need to adjust this within XY too using the SL
command. Again you need to experiment. I have another line in STARTUP.INT:

BC SL=30

If you don't change the sceen length, you may find your copy has disappeared
off the bottom of the screen. Hope you find this useful.
