I've been lurking on the XyWrite list but haven't posted anything
yet (my sister, Jane, is also here and has posted).

The reason I haven't posted is that I've been having BIG PROBLEMS
with my ISP--won't bore you with details--and posting to a
mailing list is a big hassle. I haven't had anything important
enough to say to make it worth the trouble.

The reason for this message is that becuase of those ISP
problems, I've been seriously thinking of switching providers,
and Panix is on my A-list. I just noticed you're at Panix. May
I ask you what you think of the service? What sort of account do
you have, and how long have you had it? Is the service
reliable? I gather Panix can't be too bad since it's been in
business for so long, but I'd love to have an evaluation from a
subscriber.
