cse search

When I use CSE + helpkey to search in formatted view, the
page-line number disappears from the status line. The view
dialog box says I am still in formatted view, but each time
I have to hit the formatted-view key (f8) to get the
page-line number back. Is there any way to keep the
page-line number from disappearing?
