  Umm, this is a known problem in w95, Leslie. It requires an upgrade
obtainable from MS.

its a new version of win95 though, and according to Dell, all
upgrades as of September have been incorporated... are there any
newer than that ? i browsed the MS page and found most were dated far
earlier
