No, that's a misconception, Jordan. Func XC has always had one and
only one use: to eXeCute the command on the command line. It has no
role to play in any other context. You should comb through your
..KBD file and delete any func XC's that do not execute commands;
otherwise, they will cause untold mischief (by executing whatever
command happens to be on the CMline when the key is pressed). There
was no change whatsoever in this regard from version 3 to 4.

I wouldn't worry too much about file size. If it loads and doesn't
generate out-of-memory errors, you're OK. I'd be flabbergasted if
comments counted against memory usage. Maybe Tim Baehr could
confirm.
