Someone may come up with a real answer to your difficulty in redefining the
keypad up-arrow key, but I just want to remark that not all the keys in the
keyboard are reconfigurable. I have found, when trying to redefine that key
for a purpose different from yours in a release before XY 4.017, that it
doesn't redefine. Now, in 4.017, it works fine. I think it doesn't however,
in XW 4.12.
