Re: Win 2k vs Win 98 as guest OS on VMWare



Kari has the answers to that. The short answer is that for most of
us, it's just too much trouble to deal with pre-W2K as a VM. But for
those who want to do that, Kari has worked out meticulous procedures
for getting the older systems (Win 3.1 is preferable in many
respects) to work. However, it's going to be a lot more work.
It occurs to me to ask: If you're only going to use the guest OS to front-end Xywrite -- with Win 7 as the host OS doing everything else -- why not use Win 98 rather than Win 2k, since that would presumably eliminate the need for Tame?
