Depends on your criteria, and how much you want to escape the not-so-gentle
embrace
of Redmund. eCS is current issue OS for the most part, and a good secondary OS
to
have, even if it's not your main one. Not a cheap solution either, though.
And you still
need to run a lot of your Win-32_only stuff in Win, unless you have VPC.
(Development
on Project ODIN went into hibernation over a year ago, though there have been
some new
rumblings recently.)

I disagree with Robert as to how drastic an adjustment it represents,
particularly for those
reasonably well versed in DOS and Win 3.x, as most of us are. It didn't take
me very long
to start picking it up, a few years back. Definitely a good move.
