Here is some basic information about searching the XyWrite
Mailing List archive:

All archive operations are done by sending a one-line
message (no subject, no signature) to the List Processor at:


Note that this address is different from the one used to post
messages to the list.

The body of the message should be a single line comprising
one of the following commands:

 index xywrite
 search xywrite [search term]
 get xywrite [filename]

The INDEX command provides (by return E-mail) a list of all
files in the archive. The SEARCH command is a powerful
tool: it returns a list, sorted by filename, of every
occurrence of the search term. Use the GET command to
retrieve a file from the archives. The requested file will
be E-mailed to you.
