Re: Somewhat off-topic: an odd coincidence--or maybe not



The April PC World has an report that a company called M-Systems
has teamed up with SanDisk (the makers of flash memory cards and devices)
to produce a "hardware and software spec [that] allows users to install
common apps on a flash device and then use them anywhere." Well, we've
been doing that with XyWrite for years; I've even run dBase 5 off a ZIP
disk. What's intriguing is that they've named this spec U3. Suppose there
are some sometimes XyQuestrians or XyWriters there? Now if someone could
persuade dog-in-the-manger Kenny Frank to release XyWrite to these
guys...
