Ouch. Time would have to be a lot less valuable than money for all that zipping
and unzipping to be tolerable. Besides, copying files to a ram disk then
erasing them from the floppy raises the very real possibility that you'll never
get them back.
 You don't say what capacity floppy you're working with here. If it's a 360 kb
job, the chore is all but impossible. In fact, it's damn near impossible to run
any current apps from a 360 k floppy. On a 720K 3.5 it should be fairly easy--we
run XY on some laptops without hardisks fitting DOS, XY, and CrossTalk on a
single 720k disk. The only thing we had to sacrifice was the thesaurus.
