upgrade advice?

It's time to upgrade, advice appreciated. XyIII+ v3.35 use is mainly for editing/writing.

 System = 486 dx 80 mhz, 540 mb hd, 16 mb ram, 32-bit vga w/ 2 mb v.ram, nec/multisync 5d
19" monitor, 28.8 modem, ms-dos 6.20, windoz 3.1, nutscape
2.01, Eudora Light (will go to EPro thanks to W.Rich's post), WPwin 6.1,
Aardvark Pro HTML Editor, soon to also load/learn Linux. Swing regularly to sys7 Macs for
layout in Quark and production thru Page Director.
