Very interesting.

This does indeed work, but it won't stop. When I've found
what I want, I hit s for stop, but it just keep searching
and finding all the remaining instances of the searchterm.
Stop seems to mean keep going. The command I'm using is sse
/wolf/, nothing in brackets, nothing in quotes.
Still beats Windows Explorer by miles, but something does
seem awry.

By the way, before the search starts, I get the message
"There is not enough memory to perform the function," but
then it changes its mind and performs the function. I'm just
mentioning this in case it's a clue.

ADD2U2 gets me "application error," so I used the
old-fashioned method, but I'm wondering if I really have
upgraded to V112. Help brings up the .inf file that
says v112, but when I CAll XYWWWEB.U2, it still says v105.
Should I have corrected that by hand, or am I still in
v105?

thanks for your help
