XyWin

XyWin questions:

(1) After a minute or so of inactivity, the cursor disappears. A
minute or so later, it reappears. Then disappears again a minute
or so later if still no activity, reappears as mentioned, and so
on. Is this normal? I'm using a solid block, non blinking
cursor, and I work in draft view. Rather annoying while editing
existing text to not know where the cursor is lest I press a
typing or movement key to wake it up.

Switching to blinking cursor seems to remedy this, perhaps the
blinking keeps it awake, though I prefer a solid non blinking
cursor.

(2) When I use the thesaurus, it pushes the chosen word and text-
screen up to the top of the screen, leaving but one line before
it. Since moving the text-screen down some to see context while
the thesaurus screen is open doesn't appear possible, I'm curious
if pushing the text to the top of the screen is how the thesaurus
operates or if there's a setting somewhere?

In XyIII+ the thesaurus screen would open at top or bottom half
of screen, depending on where the word/cursor is, thus preserving
context. In XyWin I can't get to see the context. Is this also
normal?

(3) I work entirely in draft view. It's my default. At times
the system goes into Page-Line view without my telling it to do
so. I can't trace all the instances but one for sure is when I
do a search and the search word doesn't exist; i.e., not found.
A message on the status line says: "Going to formatted view with
page breaks." Suddenly I have page breaks and lines across the
screen at the break. So I set the view back to draft view but
thereafter whenever I do a Save, the status line message "Going
to formatted view with page breaks" reappears and I'm back in
Page-Line view. I can't get it to stay in draft view.

Anybody know what that's about? I'm using doc files from XyIII+,
fairly simple stuff with some Styles.

(4) Crashes and lock-ups. Mamma mia. An appropriate XyWin icon
for Program Manager might be a mushroom cloud. Maybe a toxic
warning symbol. Perhaps a no bozos graphic. As it is, I suspect
an RIP tombstone is the only choice. Regrettable.
