Our little world of NB users produces a huge amount of wonderful
XPL programs, so I'm afraid that the program I am here posting
will be probably useless... maybe there is another program of
1989 that does exactly the same! So, please forgive me if this is
just rubbish.
    The program.
I use a lot of LB, REP and REF in my files. This program extracts
the labels used in a file, copies them to a temporary file called
LBLTMP.TMP (if this file exists, it will be updated), and sorts
LBs in alph. order, so you can access and check them easily while
editing your text. If you have duplicate labels -- it happens to
me -- the program writes them only once, but adds a PR label
saying "Duplicate". If you use twice the same LB, you'll get one
"PR Duplicate" delta. If thrice, you'll get two "PR Duplicate"
deltas. It is better to avoid running the program more than once
on the same file, because obviously several fake "Duplicate"
labels will be added. Better merge the file and delete double
entries manually.

    In the program there is also a little suggestion for
personal customization, and it is important for those who use (or
will ever use...) my NB4LATEX set of programs.
