Jon,

> Q: How do I change screen font?

In XyWrite, CAll C:\CONFIG.TXT and SEarch for a line that says
FONT = blah
or
rem FONT = blah

In place of blah, put the 8.3 filename of the desired TTF font,
*without* the TTF extension. All your TTF screen fonts must be in
the directory that contains vDos.exe, which shows as C:\ in XyWrite
(unless you've changed that in AUTOEXEC.TXT). Of course if there's a
"rem" in front of "FONT = ", remove it. Quit XyWrite, Exit VDos, and
restart.

There are other settings in CONFIG.TXT that may be of interest. If
you want vDos to start with a smaller or larger window, edit the
value of WINDOW = . Max value is WINDOW = 75, which means the window
will cover 75% of your screen. But note, also, that you can resize
the window on the fly with Winkey-F11 and Winkey-F12 (smaller and
larger). The smallest possible window, about 25% of the screen, is
still quite legibie, I find (see attached), in part because there
are no window borders encroaching on the real estate.

Hope this helps.
