XYWIN CUSTOMI

Ho there, XyWrite/TTG tech support who are supposed to be reading
all these notes and messages.

Tonight I was wondering why the "user set" of characters worked
for the DOS version 4 but partially for Win 4.11 and not at all
for 4.12.

The XPL coding in the big DLG is approximately the same, but I
noticed one difference between 4.11 and 4.12 is that in the
latter you've added a space to the definition of SV1102 before
the XS command (i.e., going from ≪SV1102,≫ to ≪SV1102, ≫. I
don't know if it makes any difference but . . .

Oddly enough trying to insert a user character via the menu
system inserts a space rather than a character. (Check out frame
InsCharB, for example.)

Coincidence??

The other difference is that even in 4.11 which accepts a
character list for the current session, it isn't saved to
xwset.dfl.
