Re: XyWrite for Windows versus XP Pro/SP2

Ed, see if you can't get XyWrite for Windows to come alive in the following
way: go to the run command in the Start Menu. Type in the following:
"command.com." This should open a command window. Navigate to the folder in
which you have placed your XyWrite files and then type the name of your
executable file (its name escapes at the moment). It is worth a try, since
command.com is sometimes the only way to get older software to run under
Windows XP.

This post records the pursuit of a XyWrite installation. My XyWrite for Windows 4.12, which has been running for years on other machines, will not run on my new XP machine.

Can anyone see a way out? Twenty years of my personal and professional lives exist in XyWrite files.
