I could not get XYwin to run on a windows 2000 system for about a year, until I thought to set the
path under Windows/Control Panel/System/Advanced/Environmental Variables. In Windows 2000 there is
a System Variables panel with a path and I included the path to XYWin there. Afterwards it worked
fine. I am not sure how you will find this in XP but I suspect the settings will be in a similar
place.
