Couldn't hurt to give it a try, provided you are working on safety copies of
these
files. Sometimes, parts of this core functionality from the earlier version
survives,
even where you might not expect it to. They did retain that vestigial Command
Line,
so it shouldn't be too hard to find out.

As has often been remarked upon here, there is no satisfactory substitute for
that
glorious Xy-3 manual. I routinely find useful info there that is either not
available,
inadequately detailed, or hard to find in the softbound set of manuals from
Xy-4.
Can't even recall what XyWin had in terms of any hardcopy manual.
