I hope the attached 3DJ5-10U.PRN (23 Jan 1991) file might be of use to you.

It is for the HP DeskJet 500 and supports:
1. all DeskJet 500 internal fonts
2. DeskJet 500 B, C, D & E cartridges
All fonts in this file are in the PC8 (10U) character set

I also have 3DJ-PLS7.PRN (7 May 1990) for the HP DeskJet Plus which supports the internal fonts and
cartridges D, E, F, & P and the HP 22708A Times Roman soft fonts.

Like Jordan, I subscribed to the XyQuest AppNotes series which terminated in January 1992.
Unfortunately I do not have a complete set because not all the disks made it out to Africa.

I copied all the 5.25" floppies to a Zip disk just recently before I decommissioned my trusty
486 which has been a doorstop for the last couple of years.

   No, I haven't managed to get these PRN files yet. Yes--they must be
late XY3 (or later than my 3.56, anyway). But they should be XY3, not
XY4; I got the filenames off the big list on xywwweb, which seems to be
exhaustive and accurate. If you (or anyone else) come across them, I'm
still interested in getting them I would say they're definitely from
after 1990.
