Thank you everyone for your suggestions on how to
get xywrite to override "access denied" and store my files. But my computer
guy just came through and most things now seem to be working. (It WAS a problem
in setting up the hard drive again. "Read only" was checked---not in
Window's more obvious place of "programs" and then "accessories,"
but in a much more hidden cave in Windows.)
Now onward.
