code at end of message

when i send an xy4dos file by ftp from my computer to the network from
which i will then send it by email, or share it with someone, it has
the following codes at the bottom of the received file:

\256LBCT\25712230001 \256LBAU\257ARTHUR \256LBMD\25707CD0309
\256LBMT\25712330552 \256LBRP\257 \256LBPJ\257 \256LBCM\257
\256LBKY\257 ^M^Z"^B\376\374\376^A^@
                                                 
      
this code is hidden in the file in xy4, but appears when it has been
ftp'd.

is there a way to strip this code before ftp'ing the file even though
i don't see it?
