Re: Reg-Read.me et al

Robert, thank you for addressing this. I had assumed that if one were
logged onto the XyWrite Directory (and the only time I'm not, when
running XyWrite, is when doing a Sweep search), one didn't need to alter
the Path. Apparently that's not so, so I will fix the batch file that
loads XyWrite. I suspect, however, that OOM is a more likely cause: I
notice that "Install the
XyWWWeb Registry" message has mostly popped up when I've had a couple of
apps open (and on the office machine, which has only 96 Mb of RAM).

About that "warning" someone received, I wasn't going to mention this,
it's so ludicrous, but at least one anti-virus program (Panda, which I
USED to use), erroneously ID'd clip.vbs and clip.exe as viruses.
Fortunately this happened just before the subscription expired, so I
dropped it like the proverbial hot potato and installed the copy of
PC-Cillin that had come with the system. When Panda sent me an e-mail
asking me to renew, I told them they had generated a false positive for
an extremely valuable utility from a source of the utmost technological
expertise and probity, and thereby destroyed their own credibility. (Yes,
that's the kind of language I used; much more effective, IMO, than crude
invective.)
