Re: Xy on Mac revisited-Parallel Universe

Ech...The tech guy was able to get DOS boot via Parallels. He figured
out a work-around, because the explanations of how to do it on the
Parallels forum did not work.

Now when I open Parallels DOS I see this:

Parallels (R) VGA-Compatible
BIOS Version 1.05
2.2 build 1940 (C) 2005-2006 Parellels Softward International INC. All
rights Reserved
640 KB Base Memory
32768 Extended Memory
Starting MS-DOS

then there's a date prompt & time prompt, after which I get this:

Microsoft (R) MS-DOS (R) Version 6.22
(C) Copyright Microsoft Corp 1981-1994

c:/>

When I type dir [enter]

I see this:
Volume in drive C has no label
Volume Serial Number is 0927-18DC
Directory of C:\

Command.Com 54,645 05-31-94 6:22a

I've added a Xy4 directory, but am not sure what to do next.

What do I need to copy into the root directory? What do I need in a DOS
directory? What's the minimum I need in XY4 directory to test if/how Xy
works in this environment.

As of now, nothing happens when I press the track pad in lieu of mouse.
I have an extra mouse & driver, but don't really use them in Xy. Should
I try?

Anyway, any help from you who have more experience would be most
appreciated. I have never installed DOS on a machine before, so have no
idea what's necessary or desirable.

I will say, that the screen looks quite nice, just like my old
computer, but with very clear white on black print.

Many thanks in advance,
Lisa
