 In light of Robert's latest comment regarding an Ibidem-sytle
 bibliographic database for XY4, perhaps the most efficient way
 to handle this is indeed through FISHOUT. In that case, I
 would suggest that if you plan to create a database, then, when
 putting data into the database, for every entry enter two style
 formats, one, the bibliography format, and two, the footnote
 format. That way, you will be able to select whichever you
 need with a minimum of cutting and pasting, in fact, almost
 none, but for adding the page number when using the footnote
 format.

 The alternative would be to create two FISHOUT databases, one,
 for bibliographic entries, and one for footnote entries. However,
 I think that may be a little inefficient. It is easier to cycle
 though the holdings of a single database, it seems to me.
