Re: Lenovo Thinkpad X61 (OT)

I bit the bullet and ordered the Lenovo ThinkPad X61. The combination of
reasonable price, power, and XP installed was too good to resist.


FYI, buying from Lenovo, for $1975 with tax, I got this custom config:

Processor: Core 2 Duo T7500 2.2GHz, 4MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FS bus
Memory: 4 GB PC2-53000 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz
Drive: 7200 rpm(!) 100 GB SATA
Display: 12.1" XGA TFT
A cache I don't know about: Intel Turbo Memory hard drive cache: 1GB

--plus an 8-cell battery, a wireless card, and [fanfare] XP!

It weighs only 3 lbs 10 oz.
