steve you are right about func en..THANK YOU for that.

 now.. i want this to be a macro
key (n) with the function call followed by a return stroke so it just
happpens when I hit f2 N.... somehow when i just try to record key
strokes i get a music symbol at the end of the en.. and no return..
is there a character that i can put in there that will work?

I think the correct function all is "EN".

I just tried this..... F5, ca *.txt.

Then Func EN F9 will call all files to the screen that end in *.txt
