using dosemu on ubuntu with some tweaking, XY4'll run fine, though you
can't use some of the U2 routines. you can also run it on dosbox in
ubuntu, but more slowly and with more limitations.
on any Linux distro where you can run dosemu or dosbox you ought to be
able run Xywrite; I've run it on Suse and Sidux with dosemu too.
