Re: I haven't been ignoring you!

Hi Carl,

You are describing one particular email issue that happens to involve List traffic. There are
others. I just replied this way to my brother, in regard to another:

"Not to defend Yahoo Mail, with which I've had my fair
share of problems, but I also have longstanding accounts with EarthLink, and others. They all seem
to have regular service outages, and other issues."

. . .

"I should point out that Hotmail periodically gets blacklisted by several other ISPs --
something to do with providing an open gateway for spammers and malware. For that reason, things
sent from that domain are prone to
bouncing, unexpectedly. But I've seen some cases where email
I've sent from the Pacbell domain also got rejected. Some sort of ISP
retaliation, perhaps ? It's annoying, in any case."

Kari has had to send me email at EarthLink, because what he attempted to send to the PacBell
account kept bouncing. Some of these -- AT&T | Yahoo being perhaps the worst -- make it so
difficult to investigate this or complain about it that it becomes almost an exercise in futility.
