Re: start.exe and URLs

Carl,

I have uploaded a new version of start.exe, which will (hopefully) handle both URLs and inputs like "start.exe dir/p". It also improved support for the FOR command. The file are still downloadable from:

http://vdosplus.org/files/start.zip

Hope this helps.

Carl,

Yes, because the latest start.exe now treats "/" as a separator between the command and arguments in order to make "start.exe dir/p" (without a space between dir and /p) work. It looks like that something must be done in order to support both this and URLs.

Wengier,

I just noticed another possible issue. The old start.exe used to open
URLs in the default browser. Unless I'm missing something, the new one
does not. For example, if I command...

start.exe http://xywrite.org/xywwweb/

... nothing happens.

Can you replicate this?
