XyWrite 4 for the Mac

Belatedly, thanks for doing this. It's an anachronistic, platform-jumping thrill to consider the sheer existence of a XyWrite4.app.

I installed it in what is now a Monterey Mac, but I'm wondering what the paths to files like STARTUP.INT. and the keyboard file are. I want to swap in my customized versions, but Finder doesn't find new ones anywhere, and CAlling STARTUP.INT or SETTINGS.DFL within the new XY4 comes back with "File Not Found."

I also have the previous DoxBox-X-App setup available. But under Monterey it has started fighting me on the Clipboard again. I can use the DOSBox menu to transfer from Mac clipboard to XY4,  but that's multiple clicks. The designated  CMD-OPT-F4 transfers part of the clipboard text but then pops up extra menus or a new instance of XY4, and Mapper doesn't want to move the function to another key.

Can anyone help me with either glitch? Thanks.

Jon P.

Thanks to Carl’s skill with XPL, it took all of five minutes to adapt my DOSBox-X-App to a standalone XyWrite 4 setup for the Mac. Download this file:
