Edward,Carl and I are currently working on making Xy4 better capable of supporting accented input that is fully exportable to other formats. Please be patient for a little while longer. The solution is simply not to use non CP437 accented characters. This will be implemented in a service pack for Xy4 that changes character input menus to produce 8-bit IBM ASCII characters when they are available instead of the Bitstream 3-byte alternatives.
