Re: Gratitude

For what it's worth, the border dispute is over.

I had multiple instances of SETTINGS.DFL -- one in DosBoxDisk's XY directory, which is actually controlling the settings,  and one in my writing subdirectory, XY/XY4, which is there from one of many previous generations.   As with STARTUP.INT, I had been initially editing the wrong one.

All fixed now. Easiest migration ever.  Thanks to all.

Jon,
I’m delighted to hear that this worked. I edited SETTINGS.DFL to change
it to

df mw=0

and restarted with no border.

Perhaps that setting appears twice in your copy of the file and the
second one is getting loaded?

And thank you for posting. I put a lot of work into that setup and
wondered if anyone actually used it. Improvements are always welcome.

Gratitude:

...The closest thing to a speed bump was putting my STARTUP.INT keyboard tweaks in the right place, easily done. There's a stubborn border (despite df mw = 0 in SETTINGS.DFL)...
