Yes. DELete the old SETTINGS.DFL, and then put my version in its place (store
it from your Emailer as a *file*, then move that file into Editor's directory
-- do not copy and paste from any program except XyWrite, it simply won't work
-- you can *never* plop naked XyWrite XPL code into an Email msg, like you did
with your STARTUP.INT code, it simply won't be intelligible, as I think you can
see by looking at your own msg to this group. And what's with the
"SETTINGS1.DFL [I] provided"? it's "SETTINGS", sans "1" -- computers
are
precision instruments!!).

One step at a time. Next step:
