 Actually there is a slew of emulators for Mac OSX. Including Bochs,
which is rather nice, not to mention free. Not that I'm suggesting Irene
try these if she's reluctant to even try installing one of the quite
simple to use commercial variety. Note that both vmware and parallels
allow you to install just dos (or any other x86 OS), as does bochs. Or
any version of windows, although I see that Vista won't allow itself to
be installed in an emulator.
