Actually, I've had something similar happen occasionally (and not, so
far, reproducibly--if there is such a word) in 98SE. Every so often,
when I go to copy from Tbird to Xy using Clip, the routine times out. I
then go back and cut the offending passage into smaller chunks, and it
works. The maddening thing is that at other times I can copy and paste
much larger passages without a hitch. I have been suspecting that some
other program (possibly Juno, which is built on IE) that I used and
closed earlier was hogging RAM (some Windows apps do that; WP is a
serious offender, but I rarely use that on this machine). It's no big
deal, but for the record....
