RE: New version of vDos

I have just talked to Peter. Turns out that vDOS is no longer open source, so I can almost assure that vDOSxy will no longer track the original project.

I am sorry that Jos feels compelled turn vDOS into nagware, I thought it was never about the money
(I made a donation myself).

I hope we can fix any instabilities, and improve vDOSxy from the current version.

Carl,

The latest version is working for us, no instabilities here. I don't feel the need to ask Peter to
spend his precious time unless there is a powerful reason.

The thing I needed was the VIDRAM mod that I have and gives much needed memory in XY Write III. I
wish I had a XY Write IV Spanish version, and we would all be in "sync"

Suggestions are welcome.

New releases of vDos are irrelevant to XyWriters unless they address the fundamental difference in
keyboard handling that XyWrite requires, or unless our benefactor Peter a/k/a catastrophicanomaly
(a) makes the necessary updates to his vDosXy fork, and, in the process, (b) cures the instability
of the last release of vDoxXy.

Unless that happens, I'll remain wedded to the penultimate version of vDosXy, to wit ...

... which, though not perfect, is quite good enough.
