I did manage to crash Orbis again, but this time it's an
inconsequential problem. I found that, when setting up a new
text base, using the mouse in making various selections will
cause Orbis to crash on my Gateway
ColorBook. But the process works just fine when I stick to the
keyboard.

So I've created a new text base and have been switching among the
several ones I have and the solution of REMing out the LOADHIGH
APPEND line still works. I am very thrilled by this.
