Nota Bene

I have been reading a lot of messages about Nota Bene in our XyWrite
forum. I am really surprised to see our list is becoming a Nota Bene
"sublist". No problem for me because I would rather an open list (off
topic comments are welcome, I think). Anyhow, I would like to make some
comments.
XyWrite (or NotaBene for DOS, if it is the case) are my wordprocessor of
choice because I spend a lot of time in front of my screen thinking and
writing (other benefits of XyWrite are obvious and I won't insist). I
suppose it's the same situation for most of the members of the list. But
I can't imagine myself in front of a Windows screen for hours. Recently,
I had to use Excel in a very intensive task over a few weeks. At the end
of the day I had problems with my eyes (and I have a very good monitor,
of course). If I were to repeat the experience in front of Nota Bene for
Windows, I would have the same problem. For me, XyWrite for Windows (or
SmartWords or Nota Bene for Windows) are only complementary tools, never
my standard way of getting things done. I write in XyWrite and, for the
final touch, I go to Ventura Publisher. For hours of suffering in front
of an empty screen, the black background is mandatory. According to a
suggestion made by a member of the list, I am using blue letters.
Am I sick? I would like to hear some comments on this point from Nota
Bene newcomers.
